Hi, I'm Tazhys
Backend Developer
Specializing in Node.js, Discord bots, and backend systems. My autistic brain loves patterns, my ADHD brain loves solving problems.
I really shouldn't have caffeine but I do anyways ☕
About Me
I'm a backend developer with a passion for creating efficient, scalable systems. My neurodivergent brain gives me unique advantages in development.
How My Brain Works
My autism and ADHD shape how I approach development in unique ways that can be powerful advantages.
My Development Cycle
My Development Cycle
I think of an idea
The spark of creativity hits and I get excited about a new project possibility.
This cycle repeats until I'm persistent enough or have others involved to keep the momentum going.
How I Work Best
Deep work sessions - I thrive in 2-3 hour blocks of uninterrupted focus time
Clear documentation - Having well-defined requirements helps me channel my focus effectively
Accountability partners - Having someone to check in with helps me maintain momentum
Flexible scheduling - I do my best work when I can align tasks with my natural energy cycles
The Art of Breaking Things
I have a talent for making stupid but hilarious mistakes that break code in unexpected ways. This has actually made me better at debugging and understanding edge cases.
If there's a way to break it, I'll find it (usually by accident). But this makes me excellent at anticipating and preventing similar issues in production code.
Hyperfocus
My ADHD allows me to dive deep into complex problems and stay intensely focused for extended periods, resulting in thorough solutions when I'm engaged with interesting challenges.
Pattern Recognition
My autism helps me excel at spotting patterns and inconsistencies in code, making me effective at debugging and optimization. I can often see connections others might miss.
Documentation Enthusiast
I have a knack for setting up new technologies when given appropriate documentation. I enjoy learning new systems and frameworks by diving into their documentation.
